IELTS Studay
About IELTS
All candidates must complete four Modules - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking to obtain an IELTS Test Report Form.
Candidates are tested in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. There is a choice between Academic and General Training in the Reading and Writing Modules.
Total Test Time
2 hours 45 minutes
2 hours 45 minutes
The first three modules - Listening, Reading and Writing - must be completed in one day. The Speaking Module may be taken, at the discretion of the test centre, in the period seven days before or after the other Modules.
The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non-user to expert user.
Each paper is given a mark from 1-9 ( 9 being the highest mark) You will then receive an average of the 4 papers for your final results.
As a rough guide, if you wish to study abroad or work in a profession (doctor, engineer, chemist etc) You will need between 6.5 and 7.5. from the academic exam. For immigration purposes, 4 or 5 from the easier general paper is common.
Academic or General Training
The Academic Reading and Writing Modules assess whether a candidate is ready to study or work in the medium of English at an undergraduate, postgraduate or professional level.
The General Training Reading and Writing Modules are not designed to test the full range of formal language skills required for academic purposes, but emphasise basic survival skills in a broad social and educational context. General Training is suitable for candidates who are going to English speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or training programmes not at degree level, or for immigration purposes to Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to inform the test centre whether they wish to take the Academic or General Training Modules. Centres are not responsible for providing this information.

Health Benefits of Aloe Vera
When I say aloe vera is the most impressive medicinal herb invented by
nature, I don't make that statement lightly. Of all the herbs I've ever
studied -- and I've written thousands of articles on nutrition and
disease prevention -- aloe vera is the most impressive herb of them all.
(Garlic would be a close second.) There is nothing on this planet that
offers the amazing variety of healing benefits granted by aloe vera. In a
single plant, aloe vera offers potent, natural medicine that:
• Halts the growth of cancer tumors.
• Lowers high cholesterol.
• Repairs "sludge blood" and reverses "sticky blood".
• Boosts the oxygenation of your blood.
• Eases inflammation and soothes arthritis pain.
• Protects the body from oxidative stress.
• Prevents kidney stones and protects the body from oxalates in coffee and tea.
• Alkalizes the body, helping to balance overly acidic dietary habits.
• Cures ulcers, IBS, Crohn's disease and other digestive disorders.
• Reduces high blood pressure natural, by treating the cause, not just the symptoms.
• Nourishes the body with minerals, vitamins, enzymes and glyconutrients.
• Accelerates healing from physical burns and radiation burns.
• Replaces dozens of first aid products, makes bandages and antibacterial sprays obsolete.
• Halts colon cancer, heals the intestines and lubricates the digestive tract.
• Ends constipation.
• Stabilizes blood sugar and reduces triglycerides in diabetics.
• Prevents and treats candida infections.
• Protects the kidneys from disease.
• Functions as nature's own "sports drink" for electrolyte balance, making common sports drinks obsolete.
• Boosts cardiovascular performance and physical endurance.
• Speeds recovery from injury or physical exertion.
• Hydrates the skin, accelerates skin repair.

Top 10 Cell phones Safety facts:
1. Keep the handset if possible at least 2 to 7 inches away from your head or use loudspeaker mode. It decreases the transmission of electromagnetic radiation to the brain significantly.
2. Do not keep the cell phones close to your head when sleeping. Switch it off in the night or keep it 1.80 meters or 6 feet away from your head.
3. If keeping cell phones in pocket keep the keypad towards you so that antenna faces away from you.
4. Don’t use cell phones if pregnant. The developing organs of the fetus or child are the most sensitive to any possible effects of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) exposure.
5. Avoid cell phones usage in ‘metal containers’ like Vehicles, Elevators, Airplanes, Trains and any other type of metal container as it increases
the EMR.
6. Avoid using the wired headsets. If you do use headsets use an air
tube headset with ferrite beads. Blue tooth are better as they emit 1/100th the EMR of a normal cell phone. With regular headsets you get 3 times more EMR than if you hold the cell phone against your ear.
7. Cell phones are a big NO for Children under 15 years as currently brain tumors are the second leading cause of death in
children.
8. Keep cell phones well away from newborns. EMR travel through children’s brains much more easily due to thinner
skulls and hence increases the risk of cancer.
9. Avoid using cell phones in your pant pocket – as radiation can affect your fertility. Avoid it in breast
pocket if you have a pacemaker.
10. When buying a cell phone – look for one with a low SAR or Specific Absorption Rate. Lower the SAR number the
better. For example - Popular Motorola Razr V3x
has a SAR of 0.14 – which is amongst the lowest seen recently.

Vital tips for students
The nationwide College Scholastic Ability
Test took place, Thursday, and will determine which students get to
attend schools of their choice. By applying health sciences to their
lifestyles, students can pull up the efficiency of their studying on top
of maintaining good condition until the day they get admissions.
Professor Lee Jung-kwon and Professor Yoo Jun-hyun at Samsung Medical
Center offered some health tips for them.
Sleep at least six to eight hours
To
maintain health, one needs adequate rest and sleep, appropriate
exercise, and balanced nutrition. The doctors recommend that they sleep
between six to eight hours to activate brain cells. Many students sleep
for too short a time, but they should know that the human brain needs
sleep. What they have studied is organized and memorized in the brain
while they are asleep. Sleeping is not wasting time.
If
they don’t sleep enough, they can have problems like headaches,
dizziness or fatigue. These symptoms can ruin their exam taking. Hence,
they shouldn’t study overnight, especially during the exam season. Even
if they feel sleepless, they should make the room dark at night and
brighten it for the day. Taking a bath and drinking hot milk will help
them have a good sleep.
Take a walk or light exercise
Many
students may frown at the idea of taking physical exercise as they
always feel that they are short of time for studying. However, exercise
is effective not only for physical health but also for activating the
brain. Among the sensory impulses that the brain senses, the biggest
come from the leg muscles, which awaken the brain.
However,
they should also avoid sudden and excessive exercise as they can damage
muscle and joints on top of tiring themselves too much. Doctors
recommend going outdoors and taking a walk or go jogging.
If this isn’t easy for them, stretching indoors can relieve tiredness.
Don’t miss breakfast
Doctors
stress that students shouldn’t skip breakfast as it provides fuel for
the brain. If they miss breakfast, it means their stomach is empty for
over 12 hours. As a result, sympathetic nerves will be activated, making
them extremely tense. That will worsen fatigue and make people feel
tired, lowering down efficiency.
Hence, those
who used to skip breakfast should start having it at least from a week
before the exam day as they need time for adjustment. However, they
shouldn’t overeat as it would cause blood to head to the stomach from
brain, making one over-relaxed and sleepy. They should stop eating when
they feel 80 percent full, so as not to weigh on the stomach while
helping the brain to be agile.
The diet should
be balanced as too much meat won’t help. Vegetarians, meanwhile, should
include beans or tofu in their diet and have eggs or milk to avoid
deficiencies in essential amino acids.
Handle the stress
Anxiety
and stress increase greatly especially ahead of the test. Many people
complain of depression, fatigue, tiredness, dizziness, headache and
stomachache. They should seek psychological stableness through
meditation, deep breathing, or gradual relaxation of the muscles.
Sitting
comfortably in a quiet and pleasant place, one can try abdominal
breathing deep and slow while closing their eyes. Repeating this for
five minutes twice a day will help them relax.
Most
headaches come from stress and stiff muscles following excessive
tension.Massaging with a steam towel or taking a bath can help.
Rubbing
between the eyes or watching the sky or gazing into the distance will
also help prevent headaches. When they get extremely stressed, lying
down while closing their eyes and stretching may help.
If
the headache worsens day by day and is limited to certain area, they
should consult a doctor. Brain tumors are rare, but symptoms include a
chronic headache and vomiting.
Close your eyes from time to time
The
visual organs are the most abused parts in the body while a person is
awake as they have to react to the light that continues coming in while
the eyes are open. Doctors recommend closing the eyes from time to time.
It is the best present a person can offer their eyes. During the night,
people may look at the stars in the sky, thinking of their plans for
the future.
